Reason to SMILE #95: A GOOD WORD
Proverbs 25:11 (NKJV) A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
Life sure is full of bad words – discouraging news, hate propaganda, distasteful jokes, filthy language, hurtful comments, and on and on the list continues. It’s overwhelming at times and when you find yourself in an especially sorrowful, stressful or fearful moment, the last thing you want to hear are words that break your spirit.
Oh, but I’m so thankful I can always count on God to send me a good word when I need it most. Today, in fact, was no exception. While struggling with a pesky worry in my life, I opened my YouVersion App to find these words:
Isaiah 41:13 (NIV) For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Boy, did I ever need to hear that! And since good words are always worth repeating, I shared it on my Facebook page. Apparently many others needed to hear those good words, too.
Don’t let the bad words in this world invade your mind and spirit. Allow God’s GOOD WORDS to lift you up and put a SMILE on your face!
